We have obligation and responsibility to the deceased also as we have for the alive persons.Importance of posthumous rituals,The importance of posthumous rituals has been increasing over the last few decades. As per the ancient Hindu tradition, death of a person does not terminate the existence of the person all of a sudden. Instead, it is the commencement of a process when the soul of an expired person still continues to exist after announcement of the physical death of the body of the person.

Ivormadam Sivapadham which has revived the ancient traditions and funeral rituals, focusses more on the service attitudes rather than on its commercial aspects. The rituals are executed with sensibility and apprehension with the intention of alleviating the tensions of the family members of the expired person.
